We produced an outstanding performance against Portsmouth on Sunday and we were tested in all areas of the pitch.
In the first half we played some fantastic football and always looked threatening. We were two up and looked dangerous. We were tested mentally in the second half when Philippe Senderos was sent off but we responded well.
Since the beginning of the season you can see there is something happening in this team. They fight for each other, there's a great togetherness and a great love for the game. You see the team is happy to play the way they play.
As far as the red card is concerned, I feel the referee had no choice but to send Philippe off if Kanu was not offside.
We play attacking football because we are ambitious. This team has been built to have an attacking personality, that means it's very important they express themselves and I think when you watch the game you see that. We always try to go forward. Even at 3-1, with 10 men and two minutes to go, we still attack.
I think Tomas Rosicky had an outstanding game in the middle of the park, Cesc Fabregas as well, but everybody had a great attitude, a great spirit. It's a pleasure to watch this team because you don't cheat people, you can feel the vibes coming out of the team when you sit in the stand and watch them.
Fabregas is scoring goals now and I am not surprised. I made a tape of him last year and you wouldn't believe how many chances he had. In some games he had three chances. He scored goals when he was young and, although that disappeared, it can come back when you mature.
Cesc has similar characteristics to Paul Scholes, I think. His frame, his intelligence in the game, his passing ability, knowing when to go in the box. And of course Cesc is only 20, people forget that.
Finally, a word about my future. I have been asked a lot about signing a new contract. We have a little break now and that situation could progress and advance. We have some time to meet and it should progress this week.

Ma ti rendi conto del culo che hai? Tu tifi Arsenal e Cagliari, e quest'anno, fatte le debite proporzioni, le due squadre pare che siano entrambe fantastiche. Dell'Arsenal so attraverso te, del Cagliari non ho perso un minuto di gioco, anzi, ho visto anche qualche allenamento. Beh (ribadite le proporzioni), i principi che stanno alla base della filosofia di Wenger, sono gli stessi che Giampaolo sta attuando, con risultati straordinari. Non vi illuda il risultato negativo con la Juve, il Cagliari ha giocato un calcio favoloso, fatto di velocità, tecnica e organizzazione, ha dominato sul campo, ha schiacciato la Juve nella sua area. Per la cronaca, migliore in campo: Buffon, chiaro? Ultima notazione: è pieno zeppo di giocatori giovanissimi, credo la media sia intorno ai 22 anni. Insomma, sembra ci siano buone premesse per te quest'anno.....tocchiamo ferro.
d'accordo su wenger su tutta la linea tranne forse per il paragone fabregas -scholes i 2 a mio avviso sn diversi ma la caratteristica che più li accomuna e poi quella alla quale alluda wenger sia la personalità e il carattere da leader ma a parte tutto stimo moltissimo scholes e credo cesc possa avere 1 carriera anche migliore della sua missione difficile ma nn impossibile
p.s.massimo potresti darmi informazioni più dettagliate sul calciatore di metà anni 80 e inizio 90 perry groves?

Ho visto il Cagliari domenica, era in diretta Tv in UK. Bella partita (dei nostri) e finale scontato con arbitro che fa la sua parte.
Ad ogni modo sono rimasto piacevolmente sorpreso e se a Cagliari si prendesse "l'esempio Arsenal" sarebbe una bella cosa. Certo un Cagliari in CL (Azzardo..) sarebbe una bella cosa, ma ti avverto, ci ho pensato mille volte..ed alla fine sono sicuro: Tiferei Arsenal comunque....certo, mi andrebbe bene anche solo un'1-0 e non vorrei infierire, ma alla fine quello che provo per l@Arsenal per il Cagliari non lo provo, anche se e' decisamente la mia squadra preferita in Italia e quella che mi ha fatto scegliere l'Arsenal alcuni decenni fa....(storia lunga, un'altra volta..eheheh)

Perry Groves e' uno dei primi giocatoric he mi incuriosirono. Purtroppo non ho mai visto nulla di lui al tempo, in Italia c'era poca visibilita' della Premier.
Ad ogni modo ho trovato tante informazioni su di lui con google....
magari setta il google inglese piu'che quello italiano...
ora cerco se trovo materiale su di lui su youtube
